In this research paper, we have tried to reveal the peculiarities and characteristics of Yusufian political discourse by relying on the discourse of al-Zaytoonah mosque as a model.

in this analysis, we did not adhere to a specific methodology of contemporary discourse analysis, but we tried as much as possible to benefit from it in order to deepen our understanding of the text of the discourse while adhering to the historian's approach in analyzing historical documents.

our main objectives in analyzing the speech of the leader Saleh ben Youssef were to identify the Yusufian opposition and its slogans and strategies.

in the end, we came to the conclusion that the Yusufian opposition was distinguished by its principles, alternatives, and orientations that contradict the Bourguibian orientations and choices, and that its political discourse was based on a specific strategy whose main objective was to resist the agreements signed with France.
