يناقش البحث الأسباب التي أدت إلى انعقاد مجمع نيقيا لعام ٣٢٥م و النتائج التي ترتبت عليه لما لذلك المجمع من أهمية تاريخية لاسيما و أنه أول مجمع ديني مسكوني يعقد بعد اعتراف الإمبراطورية الرومانية بالديانة المسيحية بموجب مرسوم ميلانو الذي أصدره الإمبراطور قسطنطين عام ٣١٣م و الذي جعل بموجبة تلك الديانة مساوية للوثنية التي كانت شائعة في تلك الفترة.
Abstract EN
The research discusses the reasons that led to the convening of the council of Nicaea in 325 AD and the consequences that resulted from that council of historical importance, especially as it is the first international religious council to be held after the Roman empire recognized Christianity under the Milan Decree issued by emperor Constantine in 313 AD, which made that religion equal to the Paganism that was common at that period.
