تعد محاصيل الخضر من المحاصيل الزراعية المهمة ذات القيمة الغذائية العالية، فهي تشكل جزءا كبيرا الغذاء اليومي للسكان، إذ تحتوي على نسب جيدة من المعادن و الأملاح و الفيتامينات ذات الأهمية كبيرة لصحة الإنسان، تزع مختلف أصناف محاصيل الخضر (الصيفية و الشتوية) في محافظة بابل، فقد بلغت المساحة المزروعة بمحاصيل الخضر محافظة بابل لسنة ۲۰۲۰ (٨٨٤١٢) دونما"، و تباينت هذه المساحات على مستوى الوحدات الإدارية في محافظة بابل.

Vegetable crops are important agricultural crops with high nutritional value, as they constitute a large part of the daily food of the population, as they contain good proportions of minerals, salts and vitamins of great importance to human health.
the various varieties of vegetable crops (summer and winter) are distributed in the province of Babil.
