The plurality of crtical approaches for literary text analysis engendered a variety of reading tendencies and interpretation prospects.

Therefore, we ask what is the importance of critical methods epistemological view in shaping the reading? This study aims to unveil the importance of methodological approaches in formulating critical opinions about problematic texts such as heritage text like pre-islamic poetry.

Moreover, the heritage text was analyzed by several approaches: revivalist, contextual, systemic, and interpretative, each one with its own basis and findings.

Thus, any critical product receprion is based on epistemological principles that influences the findings of understanding the patrimony: some prefer deriving and continuity, others call for break and innovation; this research will illustrate that.
