Abstract EN

This study seeks to highlight the activity of the French who support the Algerian issue during the colonial period, we chose Victor Spielmann, the illustrious journalist who faced the French administration with its flagrant crimes against the Algerians and as a detective of the Colon barbarism that controlled most of the Algerian lands.

Victor Spielmann was interested in identifying the issues that preoccupied Algerians' thinking, notably the Indigénat law, as well as land confiscation, representation in election councils, and publishing numerous articles in various newspapers, until he founded his newspaper trait d’union in 1926, and tribune indigène in 1927.

spielmann managed to bring the Algerian intellectual elite to his class and make many friendships, the most important of which was with l’Emir Khaled, who was appointed as the editor-in-chief of l’Ikdam newspaper, and entrusted him with releasing his speeches, he continued to defend her cases until his death in 1938.
