The present study aimed to find out the relationship between negative thinking and the level of alexithymia in a sample of 77 blood pressure patients in Laghouat state, and to achieve the objectives of the study, two measures of the negative thinking scale were used by the two researchers, and the second scale was the Toronto 20 Tas scale for measuring alexithymia prepared by Bagbe and his colleagues.

collecting data and analyzing it statistically based on the SPSS system, using the following tests: T-test for independent samples, arithmetic mean, Alpha-Cronbach coefficient the study yielded the following result: -the presence of a statistically significant relationship between negative thinking and alexithymia in the total sample of blood pressure disease
