Lately many parents have become interested in private tutoring thinking that the Algerian school hasn't been doing its job properly.

In this article we attempt to study the reality of private tutoring in Algeria, the causes of its spread and the response of the ministry of education to this phenomenon through the various circulars that they released most ratably the ministerial circular number 2013/333 released on 30/10/2013 which was focused on sensitization programmes regarding private tutoring the method used in studying there circulars is content analysis.

In spite of the ministry's attempts at limiting the spread of this phenomenon, parents still think it important for the success of their children without considering the side effects.
