Potting means creating historical novels with the ceation of a series of narrators who are not challenged in their integrity.

The aim is to raise the status of a political, religious, or scientific figure, a sect, a nationality, a region or a city.

As for forgery, the aim is to manipulate the historical narratives and their chains of transmission to serve the purpose of that manipulation, its goals and motives, so that some newsmen or pioneers change the names of companions, leaders, caliphs, cities, dates, or some of the courese of historical events to serve the purposes of the narrators.

Arab and islamic history is full of misrepresented and falsified narratives, the aim of which was to change the islamic community s view of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, the Umayyad Caliphs and the Abbasids to a view full of sanctity and veneration as God s Caliphs on earth and to make their obedience coupled with obedience to God and His Messenger and their disobedience to God and his Messenger.

Thus, we need to purify these narrations of sediment in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Noble Qur an and the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet, which is narrated on the authority of the pure Ahl al – Bayt.
