تناول البحث موقف الإدارة الأمريكية من المبادرة الألمانية إذ سعت حكومة ألمانيا الاتحادية إلى طرح عدد من المقترحات على الدول الكبرى التي تتمتع بالحق القانوني في البت النهائي في رسم مستقبل ألمانيا وفق المعاهدات الدولية التي أبرمت خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية (1939-1945) من أجل جعل المبادرة الألمانية أكثر قبولا لدى الاتحاد السوفيتي، بسبب خشية حكومة ألمانيا الاتحادية من رفض الحكومة السوفيتية مقترحاتها بشأن إعادة توحيد ألمانيا .
Abstract EN
The research dealt with the attitude of the American administration on the German initiative, as the Federal Government of Germany sought to put forward a number of proposals to the group of ambassadors of the major countries because they have the legal right to decide on the final design of Germany’s future in accordance with international treaties concluded during World War II in order to make the German initiative more acceptable.
The Soviet Union, due to the fear of the Federal Government of Germany, rejected the Soviet government's proposals for German reunification.
