This study aimed to identify the role of institutions in managing and valuing solid waste in landfill centers in Bechar, as well as identifying the evolution of the volume of received and recovered waste during the period from (2016 to 2020).

Also the extent of the human and material institution's ability to apply management methods that achieve the goals Environmental and economic.

We relied on the descriptive approach and the analytical method and interviewed the officials in charge of the management of this institution, by analyzing the results; we concluded that the institution adopts the technical backfill method largely, which is sorting waste.

Also recovering recyclable materials for valuation and selling, it also does not carry out the process of recycling or composting, because there are no possibilities to do so at the level of the center.
