Abstract EN

The current research aims to find out : - 1the level of wisdom-based thinking of history teachers in Diyala governorate.

- 2the associative relationship between wisdom-based thinking among history teachers in Diyala governorate and the achievement of their students.

- 3the correlative relationship between wisdom-based thinking and students' achievement among history teachers in diyala governorate according to the gender variable (males - females).

- 4the extent of the contribution of wisdom-based thinking to achievement according to the gender variable.

the current research community consisted of teachers of history for the fifth literary grade in the governmental middle and secondary day schools of the general directorate of education in Diyala governorate for the academic year (2020-2021), and the research sample consisted of (189) teachers and schools, which were chosen by the random cluster method.

the researcher adopted a research tool, the wisdom-based thinking scale for brown and crane (2009) adopted by (Mohammed, 2016), and it consisted of (36) paragraphs, after extracting the psychometric properties and making sure of honesty and stability.

it was presented to arbitrators and experts in the specialty of methods of teaching history, measurement and evaluation.

the psychology has got some subtle changes.

the researcher reached a number of conclusions, recommendations and proposals, the most important of which are: history teachers in Diyala governorate have a high level of wisdom-based thinking, and the correlation coefficient is weak, direct positive, for both sexes.

and the need for the ministry of education to pay attention to developing the teacher's knowledge of wisdom-based thinking skills.

and a proposal to conduct a study similar to the current study to determine the availability of wisdom-based thinking skills for history teachers in the primary stage and their relationship to their attitudes or the achievement of their students.
