Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the causes and forms of the phenomenon of cheating in exams from the students' point of view, through a study on a sample of students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Jijel University.

The researcher used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire tool to collect data from the respondents, whose number was estimated at 220 students.

The study found a set of results, the most important of which are: The reasons for cheating in exams related to the student came in the first place, followed by the reasons for cheating in exams related to university curricula and administration in the second place, then the reasons for cheating in exams related to the professor in the third place.

As for the forms of cheating in exams from the students' point of view, they are mainly represented in: writing on the table, using small scraps of paper, writing on the palm of the hand, using communication devices such as telephones, headphones, writing on the wall, looking at a colleague's answer sheet, writing on school supplies (Calculator, ruler, etc.

), opening notebooks or using lesson publications, talking with colleagues, using hand signals.
