Abstract AR
Abstract EN
In the perspective of economic diversification in Algeria, it is interesting to question the relevance of the exchange rate regime to adopt or rather the optimal degree of floating of the current regime.
Our results indicate that the degree of floating, in an optimal situation, is estimated at 32.22%, which can characterize a managed floating regime.
At this level of the exchange rate, the national producer is ready to use in his final production 36% of the imported raw material taking into account the level of the exchange rate, while the quantity required for production is 27%.
It should be noted that our simulation concerning the same percentages, but before simulating the optimal level of the exchange rate, was respectively 30% and 25%.
At the microeconomic level, our results indicate a strong stability of marginal costs at this level of the exchange rate.
