Abstract EN

This research aim to utilizing of bead weaving technique to enrich the aesthetic aspect of women's handbags using some symbols of ancient Egyptian art as a source for creating designs and giving them a character of originality and modernity, where we used (8) symbols of ancient Egyptian art (key of life-column grandfather-wand scepter-lotus flower-eye of horus-truly scepter-sun disk-cartouche) to create (10) decorative designs, then choosing (5) of them and implementing them by weaving using a bead loom in the form of strips or separate units, and employing these strips and separate units on women’s handbags, then displaying the executed products to a sample of (50) women to evaluate it and determine the extent of its acceptance, through a questionnaire form that has been prepared in advance.

the research followed the descriptive analytical approach and the applied approach, and the research concluded that the use of the method of weaving with beads in the implementation of decorative designs enriched the aesthetic aspect of the executed products, and using the ancient Egyptian art symbols in creating designs gave the executed designs a spirit of originality and belonging and raised the value of the executed products, and met implemented products degree of acceptance and approval by the research sample.
