This study aimed to identify the relationship between the application of e-government (the technology needed to implement e-government, training, and modernization of laws and legislation) and job performance in municipalities, and to know the extent of these municipalities ’readiness to implement the e-government program, and to highlight the most important obstacles and obstacles that limit the application of e-government, And determine whether there are statistically significant differences among municipal employees in the relationship between the application of e-government and job performance due to variables (gender, academic qualification, job level, work experience and age).

To provide recommendations and suggestions that can contribute to the implementation of e-government and contribute to the development and improvement of job performance.

The study included (340) employees in municipalities of various administrative levels (upper, middle and lower, and employees).

Where the researcher relied on a questionnaire designed and developed for this purpose and distributed to the members of the study sample, where (330) questionnaires were retrieved and (6) questionnaires were excluded because they were not suitable for scientific analysis, so (324) valid and approved questionnaires were obtained for the purposes of scientific analysis.

Statistical methods represented in descriptive statistics and analytical statistics; To analyze the data and identify the existence of a correlation between the study variables The study reached several results, the most important of which are: (1 There is a statistically significant relationship between e-government implementation and job performance.

(2 The existence of a statistically significant relationship between the provision of the technology needed to implement e-government and job performance.

(3 There is a statistically significant relationship between the provision of training for implementing e-government and job performance.

(4 There is a statistically significant relationship between updating laws and legislations to implement e-government and job performance.

(5 There are statistically significant differences in the relationship between the application of e-government The job performance is attributed to the following demographic and job variables (academic qualification, Level of employment, work experience, age, and gender) in the municipalities.

(6The existence of obstacles that limit the application of e-government in municipalities, represented by administrative, financial and legal obstacles.

The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: (1 Providing the requirements for implementing the e-government: the physical ones, such as providing financial support for the program, and the technological ones such as the technical and technical needs, and the legislative ones, such as issuing and updating laws and legislations in a manner that suits the work of the e-government.

(2 Holding training programs and courses for employees of all levels to develop their capabilities in the field of using information and communication technology.
