Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify (cognitive engagement among intermediate school students).

furthermore, to identify the cognitive integration dimensions and their sequences of middle school students.

the research sample consists of (423) female students of the fifth year of middle school/biological branch.

the cognitive engagement scale has been constructed and depends on its dimensions according to (miller.

et al., 1996) definition.

the researcher has achieved scale validity and reliability .the results show that the school students enjoyed cognitive engagement ,and the self-regulation ranked first in the series of cognitive engagement dimensions compared to the dimension of deep knowledge, which ranked the last.

in light of the results, the researcher set a number of recommendations and suggestions.
