Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the training needs of the principals of the Iraqi schools of education in Karbala in the shadow of the corona (covid-19) pandemic.

the descriptive survey method and the questionnaire were used as a tool for data collection consisting of (30) paragraphs.

the study population consisted of all public school teachers in the Karbala education directorate and the adult their number is (19486) male and female teachers, and the study sample consisted of (432) male and female teachers within the academic year (2020-2021 ad) who were chosen by the available random method, and the results of the study showed that the training needs of school principals came to a (high) degree, and there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the training needs of school principals due to the two variables (gender, experience), and there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the training needs of school principals due to the variable (educational qualification), which came in favor of (studies).

in light of the results of the study, the researcher recommends the need to continue training school principals on the areas of school work in light of the corona pandemic.
