Abstract EN

The current study aims to reveal the effectiveness of a program based on reflexology to reduce repetitive stereotyped behavior in children with autism.

The study sample consists of (10) children, including (8) males and (2) females, and they were randomly divided into two groups (experimental and control).

Children whose ages ranged between (4-10) were selected.

The mean age of the experimental group was (6.7) and standard deviation (2.3), and the mean age of the control group was (6.8) and standard deviation (2.1).

The researcher obtained their ages from The reality of the private files of each child in the center.

The study tools includ Gilliam scale to measure the degree of autism, stereotyped behavior scale to measure the severity and frequency of stereotypical behavior, the self-care scale for observing the care of children with autism, and the study followed the quasi-experimental approach with a design (Pre and Post Test) for two equal groups.

The results of the study show that there're statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean ranks of the experimental and control groups in the dimensional measurement on the scale of repetitive stereotyped behavior among children with autism for the control group, and there're statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean ranks of the experimental group scores in the pre-test and post-test measurements on the repetitive stereotyped behavior scale for children with autism disorder for the pre-measurement
