The study aims to identify the most important legal mechanisms for combating the crime of child abduction in comparative legislation, as this crime is considered one of the most dangerous and heinous crimes affecting the life and physical safety of the child, which, although its causes and motives are multiple, but it has the same consequences as the physical and moral harm it inflicts on the child.

and his surroundings, this crime was the focus of legal scholars in order to find appropriate solutions to suppress and combat it, by enacting laws that prevent the commission of such crimes.

the study relied on the use of the descriptive analytical method in addition to the use of the comparative method, and the study included three sections that dealt with the nature of the crime of child abduction, its causes, motives, characteristics and pillars, analysis and explanation of the legal texts that criminalized child abduction in Arab and comparative French legislation, and the appropriateness of these texts in providing adequate protection for children from crimes affecting their lives and safety, and identifying mechanisms to combat them in international conventions and charters, the researcher reached several results and recommendations.
