Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of occupational stress among faculty members at the University of Duhok, and the significance of the differences in that according to the variables: college, specialization, gender, age.

The study relied on the comparative descriptive approach, and the research population consisted of faculty members at the University of Duhok, whose number is (1688) male and female, and they are distributed among (18) colleges affiliated to the University of Duhok, while the study sample consisted of (417) male and female lecturers, who were chosen by Randomly, those to whom the occupational stress scale was applied consisting of (65) items, which was prepared by the both researchers, and its validity and reliability were verified.

And after processing the data statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program through the use of the T-test for one sample and two independent samples, one-way analysis of variance (Anova), the L.S.D test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the alpha-Cronbach coefficient.

The results indicated that the level of occupational stress is high among faculty members at the University of Duhok.

It was found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.001) in occupational stress according to the research variables: college, specialization, gender and age.

The differences were in favor of the scientific specialization, in favor of females, as well as in favor of the age group (55-64) years.

In the light of the results, we have presented some conclusions, recommendations and suggestions
