Abstract EN

The focus of this study is to identify the roles and qualifications of high school teachers within the of Hafar Al-Batin based on the requirements needed of the virtual schools.

The research is driven from the point of view of supervisors and school leaders, using analytical and survey methods, as well as questionnaire tools to collect the data.

The number of participants consisted of 135 total between supervisors and leaders.

The most important Results was: Accomplising of the rolls of the teachers the high-school level is high in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate and the most fulfilling role was that of a guide, then his role as Director of the classroom, then his innovator role, then his technological role, then his role as a evaluator ,while the least desirable was the role of a researcher.

In analyzing the possible constraints, there was a high degree of human constraints as weakness of the English language by the teachers when dealing with electronic devices and The weak incentives available to them for digital transformation, and the poor qualification of universities for their new roles,also there was a administrative constraints included the lack of specialists to provide technical support for the schools , the fragility of the current infrastructure and The lack of clarity of the vision of virtual teaching in Saudi schools because of its modern application.

There are statistically significant differences between genders in favor of females in all dimensions of the teaching role, also there is Statistical differences were found among the responses of individuals who were part of the study sample among their roles as: Director of the classroom, innovator, evaluator and researcher.

The differences were because of the type of work, and they were in favor the supervisors.

The study suggested intensifying courses and workshops in the field of virtual education for teachers, in addition to highlighting innovative teachers and encouraging them to conduct training courses for their fellow teachers, and recommending the expansion of virtual schools in all regions of Saudi Arabia even after the end of the CORONA virus crisis
