Arabic Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن فاعلية استخدام تطبيق Toontastic في تعزيز مهارات التحدث لدى طلاب الصف الثامن، يُنظر إلى الميزات الرئيسية للتعلم المتنقل على أنها إمكانية تخصيص عمليات التعلم العشوائية و المنتظمة والمتاحة على نطاق واسع، على الرغم من أن الدراسة باستخدام الهاتف الذكي (الجوال) قد تستغرق وقتا أطول من أجهزة الكمبيوتر، فإن الطلاب يتمتعون بإحساس أكبر بالزمان و المكان المستقلين، و يمكنهم استخدام وقت الفراغ لدراسة اللغة الثانية متى وأينما أردوا.

أيضًا من حيث المكان والوقت يمكن تسمية MALL) (تعلم اللغة بمساعدة الهاتف المحمول) بالاستجابة المثلى للعقبات التي تمنع تعلم اللغة لعرض مزايا استخدام تطبيق Toontastic دراسة اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثانية.

استخدام تطبيق Toontastic له تأثير إيجابي على تحسين مهارات التحدث باللغة الإنجليزية و يمكنه تحويل الفصول إلى بيئات أكثر نشاطاً، كما أنه يزيد من مشاركة الطلاب و يزود المعلمين بالعديد من الاستراتيجيات، فضلاً عن السماح للمعلمين باستخدامها طوال العملية التعليمية، كما يعد تطبيق Toontastic مناسبا للأشخاص من جميع الأعمار و المستويات و التخصصات بخلاف اللغة الإنجليزية.

يُنصح الأساتذة بتلقي تدريب مناسب على هذه التطبيقات و كيفية استخدام تطبيق Toontastic في أساليب التدريس الخاصة بهم، و يُنصح المحاضرون بإشراك طلابهم في استخدام تطبيق Toontastic كمصدر للتعلم و ممارسة مهاراتهم في اللغة الإنجليزية خارج الفصل الدراسي، أخيرا يُنصح أساتذة الجامعات بإعداد مقاطع فيديو تدريبية لطلابهم حول أفضل طريقة لاستخدام تطبيق .Toontastic

English Abstract

This study aims to revealing the effectiveness of using Toontastic Application on enhancing the speaking skills among Palestinian 8th Graders.

The main features of mobile learning are seen as the possibility of customizing random, regular, and widely available learning processes.

Although studying by smartphone can take longer than computers, learners have a greater sense of independent time and space and can use free time to study the second language whenever and wherever they want.

Also, in terms of location and time, MALL (Mobile-Assisted Language Learning) can be called the optimal response to the obstacles that prevent language learning.

To present the advantages of using the Toontastic Application in the study of English as a second language.

The use of the Toontastic app has a positive impact on improving Englishspeaking skills and can transform classes into more active environments.

The Toontastic app increases student participation and provides teachers with many strategies, as well as allowing teachers to use them throughout the educational process.

Finally, the Toontastic app is appropriate for people of all ages, levels, and majors other than English.

Professors are advised to receive adequate training on these apps and how to use Toontastic app in their teaching methods, and Lecturers are advised to involve their students in using Toontastic app as a source of learning and practicing their English skills outside the classroom.

Finally, University professors are advised to prepare training videos for their students about the best way to use Toontastic app.
