English Abstract
This study aimed to explore the meaning of life as a mediating factor between social support and post-traumatic growth among martyrs' wives, and to identify the relation between the meaning of life, social support and post-traumatic growth.
The study was based on the descriptive approach.
The study group consisted of (120) martyrs' wives.
The researcher prepared three tools : the meaning of life scale, social support scale, and post-traumatic growth scale.
After verifying reliability and validity of all scales, and using the appropriate statistical methods, the study reached a set of findings.
The study found out that There was a positive correlation that was statistically significant between the meaning of life and social support.
-There was positive correlation that was statistically significant between the meaning of life and posttraumatic growth.
- There were statistically significant differences on the meaning of life scale according to the work variable.
- there were statistically significant differences on the social support scale according to the age variable.
- there were statistically significant differences on the post- traumatic growth scale according to the housing status and the number of children variables.
In the context of the results of this study, the researcher recommends the following : - Providing all possible support for martyrs’ wives by the family, and the others.
- Encourage martyrs’ wives to talk and discussion on topics they care about.-Activation of social activities, and cooperative teamwork.
