Abstract EN

This study examines one of the aspects of the Moroccan state’s management of the coronavirus pandemic and confrontation of its implications using the theory of "securitisation" in an attempt to explain the existential threat posed by the pandemic to public health in Morocco.

The study applies the case study method to analyse the process and dimensions of securitisation in the Moroccan approach to confronting COVID-19.

The nature of the system of government based on the importance of security considerations, and its experience in employing security in managing domestic and foreign issues caused the outcomes of this management to appear in four security issues: the state of health emergency, the police’s administrative work, the participation of the army, and bill 20.٢٢
