Abstract EN

This study explores the religious dimensions in African constitutional practice; analyses the content of constitutions, basic laws and the different forms of constitutional drafting; and defines their direct and implicit link to religion and religiosity in the framework of regulating public life, running state affairs and organising society.

It also delves into the role of the constitution in managing public affairs and advancing society as well as the infiltration of the effects of the religious system into basic laws and the extent of its sufficiency in the formation of integrated and coherent religious options.

The study applies content analysis among other methods as a methodological tool to examine the manifestations of religious dimensions in the constitutions of African countries.
