Abstract EN

The study analyses the content of Qatari newspapers during crises between 2020 and 2021.

It defines the newspapers’ priorities in their coverage of the COVID-19 crisis and its impact, and examines their trends and media sources.

Furthermore, a quantitative and qualitative analysis was conducted for samples from three Qatari newspapers, Al Sharq, Al Raya and Al Watan, for the period between 20 March 2020 and 20 January 2021.

The study leads to several conclusions, the most prominent of which being that the research sample gave clear attention to the coronavirus crisis followed by economic, political and educational crises.
