General education students face many challenges that affect their awareness of the concepts of moderation and the extent to which they practice these concepts.

Therefore, it is necessary to work to enhance their awareness of the concepts of moderation.

Given the potential of augmented reality technology, the current research aims to verify the quantitative and qualitative effectiveness of augmented reality technology in promoting awareness of the concepts of moderation.

A mixed research approach based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches was used in order to better understand the impact of augmented reality on awareness of moderation concepts.

The quasi-experimental approach was used to compare the two experimental groups that used augmented reality technology and the control group that used the traditional method.

The phenomenological approach was used to reach a full understanding of the impact of augmented reality technology on awareness of the concepts of moderation from the students' point of view.

The research sample in the quantitative study consisted of (60) high school students.

The participants in the qualitative study were six students who were intentionally chosen from among the students with the highest scores in the Awareness of Moderation Scale.

A Scale of awareness of the concepts of moderation was developed, consisting of three axes, with a total of thirty items.

The results showed that the experimental group that used augmented reality technology was superior to the control group in terms of enhancing awareness of the concepts of moderation.

The qualitative analysis of students' opinions showed the most essential capabilities of augmented reality technology that contribute to enhancing awareness of the concepts of moderation through three axes: applications, virtual layers, and tasks.
