Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to arrive at a suitable statistical model to describe the prevailing leadership patterns among the principals of basic and secondary education schools in Aden governorate by extracting the underlying factors in the behavior of the leaders of those schools, and to achieve the goal of the research, modeling with the structural equation has been adopted by applying the research tool to a random sample consisting of the (384) heads of the subjects of the study subjects, they were chosen from (122) basic and secondary schools in Aden governorate, where the factor analysis was used to test the relationships between the underlying and measured variables.

the results showed that there are underlying factors in the behavior of principals of basic and secondary education schools in Aden governorate, and these factors constitute four leadership patterns, it was the most sovereign is autocratic leadership pattern, followed by the democratic leadership pattern then the chaotic leadership pattern and finally the transformational leadership pattern.

based on the results of the research, several recommendations were presented, most notably the use of the modeling methodology of the structural equation with its various methods in the educational field, especially educational administration, to give quantitative studies and research in this field significant added value.
