English Abstract
This study aimed at developing emotional intelligence skills among students of the Palestinian College of Rabat in the fourth year (graduates).
The study sample consisted of (40) students, which were divided equally into two experimental and control groups The study relied on the semi-experimental and the descriptive method.
In his study, the researcher used the following tools : 1- The emotional intelligence scale prepared by (Bar-Oan) modified in proportion to the Palestinian environment, The extension program prepared by the researcher- 2 The study found : 1-The existence of statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence skills between pre-measurement and post-measurement in the experimental group.
2-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in emotional intelligence skills between post-measurement and follow-up measurement of the experimental group.
3-The absence of statistically significant differences in the responses of students of the Palestinian College of Rabat in the scale of emotional intelligence development skills, in the post-measurement according to the variables of age and housing, Among the most important recommendations recommended by the researcher in his current study : - Paying attention to psychological programs because they have a great impact on alleviating psychological stress and developing emotional intelligence skills among the target groups.
- That the institutions working in the field of psychological and social service pay attention to organize activities through which members of the community in general and university students in particular are educated about how to deal with psychological pressures and the consequences thereof.
- Paying attention to Rabat College students because they have a major role in the future on homeland security and it's safety.
Among the most important proposals proposed by the researcher in his current study - The effectiveness of indicative program for developing emotional intelligence skills as an input to reduce psychological stress among university students Palestinian.
- The effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioural counseling program to alleviate stressful events among the widows of martyrs in the governorates of Gaza.
