Arabic Abstract

هدف الدراسة : هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مستوى الوصمة لدى أمهات أطفال الشلل الدماغي في محافظات غزة، و بيان مستوى قلق المستقبل لدى أمهات أطفال الشلل الدماغي في محافظات غزة إبراز العلاقة بين الوصمة و قلق المستقبل المتعلق بالطفل لدى أمهات أطفال الشلل الدماغي في محافظات غزة، الكشف عن مدى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a≤0.05) في الوصمة لدى أمهات أطفال الشلل الدماغي، و معرفة مدى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a≤0.05)في قلق المستقبل لدى أمهات أطفال الشلل الدماغي تعزى للمتغيرات (جنس) الطفل، المؤهل العلمي للأمهات أطفال آخرين مصابين، عدد أفراد العائلة.

English Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of stigma among mothers of children with cerebral palsy in the Gaza Strip and the level of child-related future anxiety among mothers of cerebral palsy children in the governorates of Gaza.

The study also sought to know the nature of the relationship between stigma and child-related future anxiety among mothers of cerebral palsy children in the governorates of Gaza, and to reveal the extent of the presence of statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) in the stigma of mothers of cerebral palsy children due to the variables (child’s sex, educational qualification of the mothers, other affected children, and the number of family members).

It also aims to find out any statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in future anxiety among mothers of cerebral palsy children due to the variables (child's sex, mothers’ educational qualifications, other affected children, and number of family members).

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, through which she tried to describe the phenomenon under study, analyze its data, the relationship between its components, the opinions raised about it, the processes it includes, and the effects that they cause.

The study population consisted of (150) mothers of cerebral palsy children benefiting from the Palestine Future Foundation for Childhood, and the study sample consisted of (112) mothers.

The most important findings of the study are the following : 1.

There are no statistically significant differences in stigma among mothers of cerebral palsy children due to the variables (the child's sex, educational level, and number of family members).

2.

There are statistically significant differences in stigma among mothers of cerebral palsy children due to the variable (the presence of other affected children).

3.

There are no statistically significant differences in future anxiety among mothers of cerebral palsy children due to the variables (the sex of the child, educational level, the presence of other affected children, and the number of family members).

The reseeacher recommends developing a training program aimed at developing the cognitive and social skills
