The article aims to study the terminological concept of probabilistic interpretation of the qur’anic texts.

it also aims to clarify the terminological roots that scholars use when they encounter some of these texts.

the researcher defines the concept of probabilistic interpretation as an additional compound, pinpointing the possibility of incorporating it under the famous definitions of interpretation, due to the scholars’ frequent use of the probabilistic terminology in different forms and various derivations.

this leads to broadening the meanings and their comprehensiveness.

the researcher recommends to expand the originalizing studies of this type of interpretation, pinpointing its purposes and forms.
