Abstract EN

The current study aimed to try to "understand the nature of the relationship between digital transformation and its relationship to achieving sustainable development", and the role of higher education institutions in achieving this; accordingly, the researcher used the descriptive approach, and by using the questionnaire as a main tool for the study, the following results were monitored : the study sample members showed a negative trend with a percentage of (70.7%), towards digital transformation within libyan universities, due to the limited employment of e-learning systems, with the apparent lack of material capabilities and specialized human cadres.

in implementing successful digital learning projects ; the results also showed a negative orientation towards the university’s ability to meet the needs of society and its orientations towards comprehensive development, and this may be due to the inability to benefit from the electronic educational power in raising the colleges’ outputs from the appropriate human cadre, and accordingly the study recommended in the conclusion the need to work on changing the orientations of systems higher education by adopting a realistic digital strategic vision that includes technological and cognitive requirements to improve the quality of educational and training processes.
