يتصدر سؤال العنف الساحة الفكرية و الفلسفية، و تعد مسألة الهويات الجزئية من أبرز المسائل المطروحة في إطاره، بحيث أصبح العنف بين الطوائف يهدد استقرار الدول و ديمقراطيتها، و ظلت الدول العربية في محاولة تطبيق نموذج الدولة القومية تعيش نوع من الصراع الداخلي، فحتـى الجماعات التي تتحدث نفس اللغة وتدين بنفس المعتقد، و تشترك في نفس الثقافة، لم تتمكن من الاندماج الحقيقي داخل المجمع.
و في محاولة لتقديم حلول رأى ناصيف نصار أن الحل في الخروج من مأزق الطائفية هو التأسيس لمجتمع جديد يتحمل كل الاختلافات، ولم يعتبر التنوع خطر مهدد و قاتل للدولة الوطنية و إنما رأى في فسيفساء الهويات داخل الدولة الواحدة إثراء و تشجيع على الإبداع يربطهم شعور الانتماء الذي يبرر الانتقال من مفهوم الدولة إلى مفهوم الأمة وذلك لا يكون إلا في مجتمع علمي علماني ديمقراطي
Abstract EN
The question of violence is at the fore in the intellectual and philosophical area, and the issue of partial identities is one of the most prominent issues raised in its framework, so that violence between sects threatens the stability and democracy of states.
So the Arabic countries kept trying to apply the example of a national country, but they still live kinds of inner struggle.
Even with those who have the same belief and share the same culture, it was not able to truly integrate, and in an attempt to provide solutions, Nassif Nassar saw that the solution to getting out of the sectarian impasse is the establishment of a new society that bears all differences, a scientific, secular, democratic society
