The current study aims to diagnose reading difficulties and determine the extent of their prevalence among primary school students at Youssef El-Damerji Primary School in the city of Miliana, Ain Defla State.

As well as identifying gender differences in the prevalence of reading difficulties where an initial sample of 30 male and female students was tested, and through the application of a set of diagnostic tools (Raven's intelligence test, And the Diagnostic Assessment Scale for Reading Difficulties (We obtained a final sample of (23) students, of whom (9) males and (14) females, were chosen in an intentional manner, and after presentation and analysis, the results showed a high prevalence of reading difficulties estimated at ( 34.
