Literature has witnessed a clear evolution between the past and the present.

one of the most prominent periods in Arabic literature is the Mamluk and ottoman eras, which spanned over six centuries.

many researchers and critics have deliberately or unintentionally belittle the literature of this era.

some of them claim that the ottoman era is an era of decadence and sophistication, and they have pretended that there is no trace in it, and it is not worthy of research or study this paper entitled: suspicious in the dating of Mamluk and ottoman literature and their impact on undergraduate curricula.

, attempts to refute these suspicions with accuracy and fairness, as it aims to scrutinize the most reliable references that dated to that period.
