The consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Syria can be assessed under three headings: From a military point of view, the balance of power will be tilted relatively against Russia and its allies.

From an economic point of view, the economic pressure on the Syrian regime will increase day by day.

Politically, the Assad regime's efforts to gain international legitimacy will fail.

The position of Turkey and the legitimate opposition in Syria will be strengthened.

On the other hand, it can be predicted that Iran will try to bridge the gap left by Russia's decline in interest in Syria considering the dominance of the results with the the war prolonging.

This means a greater involvement of "Israel" and the Gulf states in the Syrian equation.

In the context of this new geopolitical level established by the Russian occupation of Ukraine; Turkey awaits a greater role and important opportunities in Syrian politics.
