Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the impact of the fluctuations of the Algerian dinar exchange rate on the goals of economic policy during the period (2000-2020), through which it was discussed to analyze the development of the Algerian dinar exchange rate and the extent of its contribution to achieving the goals of economic policy in Algeria.

The study concluded that the exchange rate of the Algerian dinar during the period (2000-2020) contributed effectively to controlling inflation rates at the level required by the monetary authorities, while its effect remained very weak in reducing unemployment rates, raising the rate of economic growth, and achieving balance in the balance of payments.
