This study aims at testing the impact of some Firm specific factors such as size, age and capital intensity on the financial performance of 61 industrial companies in Algeria during the period between 2013 and 2019.
It also Determines which of these factors are specific and explanatory for their financial performance.
The study data were processed based on Panel Data method.
The obtained results showed that the estimated model explains 43% of the change in financial performance represented by Return on assets, and that the age of the firm defines and explains the financial performance of the study sample and has a positive significant impact.
Accordingly, some appropriate recommendations that allow firms raising their financial performance levels have been presented.
