Abstract EN

The kilim and carpet industry in Libya is one of the old traditional handicrafts that go through different stages and require many equipment and tools until we get a complete woven and ready for use.

Very creative.

The Libyan hands excelled in the manufacture of woolen and woolen textiles in general and kilims in particular, with perfect craftsmanship.

Triangle and square geometric shapes were used to decorate the kilim.

The textile industry is one of the handicrafts that goes through different stages and at the same time requires many equipment and tools until we get a complete woven and ready for use.

And the beliefs that man practiced on this earth and put them in a framework and have roots dating back thousands of years.

The importance of this study is due to the definition of these arts and the analysis of the beauty of the Libyan kilim, noting that the production of kilim was characterized by different bad regions in (the Amazigh regions of the Nafusa Mountains, the coastal regions of Misurata, Bani Walid, Tarhuna and the desert south of the country, Ghat and Ghadames) producing such traditional industries.

The study aims to shed light on the aesthetic value of kilim as a popular cultural heritage with various dyes and colors, and to highlight samples of some designs for the different Libyan regions, and to shed light on kilim weaving in terms of decoration, colors and dyes used.

Randomization of the diversity of the design of the Libyan kilim decorations between the cities of the mountain, desert and coast, and the analysis of random research samples, samples that were taken from kilims for different regions (between the regions of the Nafusa Mountains for the Berbers, the Misurata coast, and the desert Ghat in particular), Research section into a theoretical framework and a practical framework.

Traditional industries are the product of ancient civilizations and a popular cultural heritage inherited by generations over the years.

They carry cultural visions and values loaded with the bounties of society over the years.

They reach us as the production of various traditional traditional artworks with a variety of functions.

People draw their ideas from nature and their religious beliefs.

Traditional industries are considered because of their role and integration in the national economy by holding permanent exhibitions for the products of some traditional industries, reviving heritage and preserving it from extinction, and encouraging craftsmen to continue their unique and distinctive production.
