After the events of Mosul and the declaration of the Islamic caliphate, (ISIS) became influential in local politics in Iraq and Syria.

this prompted regional and international countries to hold several meetings of a security nature to coordinate efforts and form an international coalition to eliminate ISIS.

this research paper aims to clarify the nature of role of military alliances and their ability to eliminate emerging terrorist organizations, by posing a problem regarding the effectiveness of military alliances in neutralizing terrorist organizations.

so that the study concluded that the different goals of countries in joining military alliances clearly affects the ability to neutralize this type of non-asymmetric organizations.
