This article focuses on criminal trial by using remote technology based on video conferencing technique, which has risen to the top of information and communication technology and has expanded considerably in international and national legislations.

this measure was introduced in the name of modernization of the justice in order to find solutions to the criminal justice crisis.

however, videoconferencing has, through its rules of practice and procedure, created some (negative and positive) impacts whish should be defined in the light of necessary general and specific guarantees to a fair trial.
