The classifier of this message is Sheikh Ja`far bin Al-Fadl bin Husayn bin Mahdawiyah (he was alive in the 8th AH), one of the students of Al-Mohaqiq Al-Helli, who met his teacher in Al-Hillah in 651 AH, and studied on him, and he benefited a lot from him.
Ibn Mahdawiyah organized a prayer which he recited to the talented investigator, which did not reach us, and he made this (message) an introduction that precedes it, in which he tried to present important aspects of the life of his teacher.
We have won a unique manuscript for this message in a collection in the Ataba Razavi library, and we have investigated it and exerted effort in that.
