Abstract EN

This stud;y aims to identify the reality of using Saudi Digital Library at King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah, through the introduction of Saudi Digital Library, and identify its role in developing research skills.

The stud;y also aims to identify the degree of satisfaction among beneficiaries with regards to the Library's services, identify the obstacles beneficiaries are facing when using Saudi Digital Library, and offer proposed solutions that contribute to further promotion of its use .

The stud;y relied on the survey descriptive approach.

The researcher used two instruments for collecting research data, questionnaires and personal interviews.

The stud;y sample consisted of (181) female students, which were selected through random stratified sampling.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are the following: as an information center, Saudi Digital Library contains several departments, which are the following: Digital Content Department, Training and Information Awareness Department, Department of Studies and Statistics, Information Technology Department, Department of Public Relations and Media.

The Library is also keen to develop its users' research skills through several tools made available on the website, such as the training service, which includes training courses on the use of databases and training courses on the development of scientific research skills, in addition to that the Library's channel on YouTube is Technological Competencies Among the Faculty Members at Najran University and the Degree of Their Practice of ISTE*E Standards.

The Results also Showed that There is no Effect of the Study Variables on the Degree of Opinions of the Faculty Members at Najran University about the Availability of the Basic Technological Competencies Needed for them and the Degree of their Practice of the ISTE*E Standards for the Educators at the Level of Statistical Significance (0.05a).
