Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the reality of the services promoted by university information units (university libraries) on their websites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and provide recommendations that may decision benefit makers in Saudi university libraries.

The researcher based the assessment of the library websites on the six axes that were established by researchers.

a number of professional researchers.

The researcher added elements to several of the axes.

Results indicated that the library websites of 24 Saudi universities (86%) can be browsed in both Arabic and English.

Most libraries provided a communication channel between users and the library via the website, and 23 provided an email or phone number for direct communication.

Social media is a modern means of electronic marketing in general and in the field of libraries and information, Many Saudi universities' libraries did not provide electronic resources, nor did they provide a multimedia collection Moreover, few Saudi university libraries offer online services, such as reservations, renewals, or training.

nor do they provide a virtual tour; in addition, they did not refer in their sites to new sources that they recently added to their collections.
