The current study aims to identify the reality of blogs in the learning sources centers in girls' schools in Riyadh, in order to provide a true picture that reflects the interest in information technology represented by blogs and their designing, organizing, using methods and the progress in their activation, the descriptive approach has been drawn upon, the study community reached 21 blogs, and questionnaire and direct observation were used as information collection tools, as well as the use of some of the sites of popular foreign library blogs (New York Public Library Blog- Library of Congress Blog- Canadian Library Blog), and the highest evaluation of four American school library blogs; to explore the standards of design and organization adopted globally.
The most important results were: The interest in blogs in learning resource centers was poor, with only 37% availability, and the activation rate of this ratio reached 42%.
The chronological age of the center blogs in Riyadh was 3-4 years, while the chronological age of foreign blogs was 9-12 years.
The blogs under study were concerned with the criteria of recovery by 86%, while foreign blogs had an interest in this standard by 100%.
The topics of the blogs were to inform about the activities and achievements of the centers and school.
