What is meant by clarifying the strangeness of the Qur'an is: the explanation and interpretation of those words, not the extrapolation of them, and the knowledge of the strange words in the Holy Qur'an in terms of number or other reasons.
Talking about the strangeness of the Qur'an is very important in general, and very important when studying and applying the analytical interpretation on the joints of the Qur'anic verse.
