Abstract EN

The issue of the identity card is counted as one of the issues thatengage the Kuwaiti novel production and occupy a considerableposition in the contemporary Arab novel- writing.

The current research aims at demonstrating and analyzing themost significant novel writing samples having the subject of theidentity card in its multiple and highly adopted dimensions of theKuwaiti subject matters.

Theories relevant to them in the thirdmillennium, postmodernist theories, are employed to read thedimensions of the Kuwaiti identity card as well manifested in theresearch samples in the light of the "disassembling theory", theoryof dismantlement, Foco theory and the theory of post-imperialism.

All these pre-mentioned theories and their likes could giveinterpretations to the structure of the social stabilized identityamong the bigger social sections and other unacquainted identitycards.

Nor did they win social approval nor a political confessionand nor do they gain due overall social respect and regard.

In the recent decade numerous images of ID cards come intolight in the Kuwaiti society such as: The Sunni ID, the Shia ID andthe emergence of a surging hidden struggle trying to find an outletnow and then for its eruption in addition to the appearance of theIDs of the Colored as in, so-called, " Because I am black
