the research stems from the platform of emphasizing the existential risks of environ-mental degradation, which were found to be confirmed in the scientific prophecies that were launched at the beginning of the last century, which are prophecies that warn humanity against continuing to violate the environment’s resources and destroy its vital resources.

these are prophecies that have been confirmed by scientific studies that have revealed the crucial challenges represented in desertification, ionic holes, soil erosion, climate warming and environmental pollution in the areas of food, air and water.

the research highlights the danger of the new capitalist greed, which constitutes the most prominent factor in the systematic destruction of the environment and life.

then, it deals with the historical context of the process of environmental destruction that began with the beginning of the industrial revolution, which was accompanied by a great rise of industrial capitalism, which is based on the depletion and destruction of the environment and the transformation of its resources into commercial goods, thus violating all environmental resources and their living resources.

the research shows that the rising industrial capitalism did not stop at the limits of the depletion of what is found in the ground, but rather began by transforming all the natural goods from trees, animals and materials into a commodification process, until it reached the degree in which it transformed man and his mind into a commodity that is sold and bought in the markets of human slavery, and to the point of in which the life of the planet is under threat.

the research concludes that man has gone too far in destroying the environment to the extent that the fate of humanity and life is threatened with demise.

in the end, the researcher believes that the new capitalist savagery represented by ne-oliberalism will take us all to the tragic abyss of fate, because this new capitalism is equipped with all the tools of lethality and destruction, and it will not stop until it buries itself and all humanity with it in the cemeteries of the natural history of life on earth.
