The Moriscos Andalusian immigration movement was accompanied by arbitrary measures including brutal expulsion and religious intolerance that characterized the Middle Ages on the Iberian Peninsula.

Faced with the failure of the policy of the Spanish King Philip III, he found no alternative to choosing forced deportation and displacement.
