The ancient eras of literature in Yemen, especially poetry, did not gain their share of study and attention for many reasons.

the scarcity of sources, ignorance of many of them, and the difficulty of obtaining them ...

are at the forefront of the reasons that fascinated many scholars and made those interested in Yemeni poetry and literature turn to the modern era, which it can be obtained from the available sources.

this study comes as an attempt to clarify some of the ambiguities that surrounded Yemen’s poetry in ancient times, and given the connection of the eleventh century ah with a cultural and political movement, one of the results of which was the liberation of Yemen from the first Turkish rule at the time.

despite the scarcity of printed sources and the difficulty of obtaining manuscripts, especially what was in private libraries, the importance of the topic and its novelty encouraged the researcher to overcome difficulties, research and study.

since the language of poetry in the eras that followed the Abbasid era was marked by many scholars with decline and decline, the research directed its attention to studying the language of poetry among the poets of Yemen in the eleventh century ah.

the study was divided into two sections :-the first topic : an internal contextual trend that examines the various patterns of linguistic structures within the poetic house through the study of (the linguistic fabric)-the second topic : a trend that monitors the manifestations of the linguistic fabric and the poets’ influence on what we can call (the influences of the age) and the nature of the research required interest in studying grammatical formations and patterns of structures in the language of poets in the first topic, and focusing on the influences of the era and what prevailed at the time, which we can call (fashion in poetry.
